Approximately one in five Londoners are of South Asian heritage today. From suffragettes and political leaders to artists and entrepreneurs, London’s history is rich with stories of the ambition, bravery and steadfastness of its South Asian communities. Researched by Krish Nathaniel and Bushra Mohamed, this two-sided map is an introduction and companion to explore the remarkable lives and history of South Asians in London.

South Asian History London Map is included in our set of London maps available at a discount here.

The map features fifty locations across London that tell the story of the city’s South Asian communities, from statues of Noor Inayat Khan and Mahatma Gandhi, to remarkable objects such as Tippoo's Tiger at the V&A and the Koh-i-Noor Diamond at the Tower of London. Places rich in meaning such as Brick Lane and Drummond Street are also included along with architectural masterpieces such as Neasden Temple. The result provides a unique perspective for the insightful explorer of London.

Each location is marked on the front of this distinctively designed map with captions on the reverse and a selection of original photographs shot by Jo Underhill.

As with all our titles, the map is printed by a B Corps-certified family-owned printer in the UK on quality FSC-certified recycled paper.
