The second guide map in our transport series, Moscow Metro Architecture & Design Map, will be released next week. Following a similar format to our London Underground Architecture & Design Map, the publication features an original geographic map of the Moscow Metro on the front, and photography and details on the reverse. The map is protected by a board sleeve with a die cut 'M' revealing the map. The map is published in English and Russian.
Curated by Moscow-based architectural historian, Nikolai Vassiliev (who also contributed to our Constructivist Moscow Map), the selection of featured stations includes traditional stops like Mayakovskaya and Komsomolskaya along with contemporary designs like Fonvizinskaya and Zhulebino. The result is an original guide highlighting the most interesting and influential designs across the world's greatest Metro, from the Stalin-era to today.
Photography is by Alexei Narodizkiy and the introduction is by Nikolai Shumakov, the chief architect of today's Moscow Metro.
Moscow Metro Architecture & Design Map is available now from our online shop and will be in the stores in Moscow and elsewhere soon.
New York Subway Architecture & Design Map and Paris Metro Architecture & Design Map will be next in the series.
