Following the Great Fire of London in 1666, Nicholas Hawksmoor emerged as architect of some of the most powerful, creative and enigmatic buildings London has ever known. Hawksmoor’s spires, churches, and other known works are featured on this map, with details and an introduction written by Owen Hopkins and original photography by Nigel Green.

Our architecture series of maps are all printed on FSC-certified recycled paper by a family-owned carbon neutral printer in East Sussex. The map opens to 600 x 420mm and folds to 210 x 150mm. 

Owen Hopkins is an architectural writer and curator. He is Director of the Farrell Centre at Newcastle University. 

Nigel Green has taken photographs for a number of our maps. He is an artist and architectural photographer.
